A new Irish 31 restaurant is due to open in The Shops at Wiregrass Mall by the end of 2016. There are currently four other restaurants in this chain open in the area, and another is also planned at Clearwater Beach. This is also due to open in 2016, and as yet it is unclear which of these restaurants will be the first to open.
The restaurant at Wiregrass Mall will measure 2800 SF in total, but some of this space will be shared with another business, the name of which has not yet been revealed, or the nature of the business that they are in. Irish 31 have states that the partnership will work well for both parties but they have not given any specific details, instead teasing that they are compatible with a lot of different types of business.
The chain of Irish 31 restaurants are owned by Jay Mize, the former USF football star, who played in the number 31 jersey. The same style of food can be enjoyed in all of the restaurants, and it is described as premium Irish cuisine by Jay himself. There will be some differences between each outlet as the meals that are served are inspired by the chefs to a certain degree. Customers have a great deal of say into what gets onto the menu, and which drinks are served behind the bar. Each restaurant makes a conscious effort to really fit into the neighborhood which they have become part of.
The restaurant will be a welcome addition both to Wiregrass Mall, and to the wider area of Wesley Chapel. It will be situated next to Panera Bread and offers something different to the food choices that are already on offer at the mall. There is a wide range of eateries with food from all over the world including France and Italy, as well as cafes where you are able to enjoy a quick snack. Irish 31 will be the only restaurant serving Irish cuisine within the mall.
