Sitting about 30 miles north of Tampa, Land O’ Lakes is census-designated place within Pasco County and is known for its rapidly growing population and sunny climate. Given the growing number of residents, the area is bursting with new subdivisions. Over the last 20 years, the area has more than tripled in terms of population. The Land O’ Lakes area truly has real estate opportunities for everyone, whether someone is looking for a family residence or open to a more clothing optional environment. For families, there are number of opportunities in Land O’ Lakes. Many of the houses are built are lakes. The area’s standard of living is roughly 20 percent the U.S. average and median home cost is slightly above $170,000, but the appreciation is up by 11.5 percent within the last year.
There are numerous of small neighborhoods within the area. The higher-end real estate prices can be found along the eastern portion of Highway 54 near Dupree Gardens, Town Center, and Hale Road. Among the interests nearby include Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park, Conner Preserve, and a few golf courses. Two large shopping centers, Shops at Wiregrass and The Grove at Wesley Chapel, are in the immediate area.
A special part of the real estate scene in the area deals with Caliente Resort and homes for sale, a nudist community. Located just off Route 41, it is a resort with a hotel built in and features as many as seven different pools. Caliente is clothing optional. As a result, it attracts a wide array of nudists on vacation trips as well as a good number of swinger parties going on within the community. While membership is needed, daily membership can be obtained. Even though it officially a resort, Caliente also has new homes for sale on the real estate market.
The appeal is its clothing optional choice which forgoes tan line concerns combined with usually good weather. The private community is known to be lively and isn’t for everyone, but offers plenty of options in terms of real estate and nightlife. Caliente Resort is an option for both temporary tourists and more interested permanent residents who can find a number of homes available on the real estate market.
The natural scenery is very appeal with resort amenities such as fitness centers, lakes, and clear water lagoons. Spa Sereno also provides many exclusive services ranging from massage to pedicures to hydrotherapy. Often, the resort is packed with activities which include fitness classes, tennis, and water aerobics and the clubhouse is very popular. A nature walk can take you all around the resort homes. The nightlife within Caliente Resort can get very popular. There are karaoke and tiki bars around the resort and a number of good dining restaurants. Some of the bars even have poles used for pole dancing.
Available homes within Caliente Resort often are condominiums or villas. Most are built in the early 2000s and are of a one or two-bedroom variety. For smaller homes, Caliente Casita Village and offer the equivalent of tiny trailer homes on a lot. Often the small homes have as little as 500 square feet. Caliente Resort is the most famous of such nudist resorts, but Lake Como Family Nudist Resort and the motor home-filled Lake Linda Circle also cater to this natural lifestyle within Land O’ Lakes.
If in need for a more urban setting, Tampa is nearby though traffic can be difficult at times. Still, it offers plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Some of the state’s nicest beaches are also west of the region.
