Tampa Bay is a TOP 10 ‘Hottest Market’

Have you heard? Realtor.com and Trulia both ranked Tampa among the hottest real estate markets for 2017. In fact, Realtor.com ranked Tampa in the TOP 20 and Trulia named Tampa in the TOP 10!

Tampa Bay boasts mild winters and wonderful springs. The coldest month is January with average nightly temperatures of 52 degrees. In August, the warmest month, the average daytime temperature is 90 degrees.

When considering Hillsborough county real estate in Tampa, there is much to attract buyers. The beaches are phenomenal. Ben T Davis Beach is one of the first sights upon entering Tampa International Airport. The water is typical of the beautiful Florida coastline. Within an hour’s drive from Tampa are Sand Key Park, Indian Rocks Beach, Honeymoon Island, Clearwater Beach, St. Pete Beach; or if you prefer a more natural beach experience, there is Caladesi Island State Park, Fort De Soto Park, and Fred Howard Park. You may even catch a glimpse of a manatee.

Tampa also has over 150 parks. There you can find jogging trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, even pools, playgrounds, boat ramps, and canoe launches. Tampa Bay Boulevard Linear Park runs along Hillsborough Bay and is the world’s longest continuous sidewalk, 4.5 miles long. Snow Park, with just 150 square feet, is the “World’s Smallest Park” according to Ripley’s Believe It or Not. Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park often hosts concerts, children’s events, and art festivals.

Speaking of festivals, you could attend Tampa Bay Margarita Festival, Sunset Music Festival, and Tampapolooza, Springfest on Harbour Island, and the famous Gasparilla, a Tampa tradition since 1904, which is Tampa’s equivalent of Mardi Gras. The Ye Mystic Crewe Pirates start the party, and the celebration lasts for several weeks, with the main parade, kids parade, and races.

If you are a golfer, you could try out an entirely different course almost every three days for a year, with over 100 golf courses in the Tampa Bay area.

Sports fans will be very happy in Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay is home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Tampa Bay Rays.

For the more culturally oriented, visit the Cracker County history museum, Tampa Firefighters Museum, Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, Museum of Science and Industry, Glazer Children’s Museum, or Tampa Museum of Arts. The Straz Center for the Performing Arts features world-class entertainment.

Children will love Busch Gardens, and Lowry Park Zoo was named best zoo in America by Parents magazine.

Also, the University of South Florida is now ranked 50th in the country along with such educational greats as Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Yale, and Harvard.
