Wesley Chapel was originally named Double Branch due to the area’s twin Creek’s. The residential community was named after the Methodist Chapel that once stood on the corner of SR 54 and Boyette Road. At one time this area had the popular nickname Gatorville.
Since the year 2000, Wesley Chapel has increasing growth rapidly.
